Chairman’s July Message

Hello everyone and I trust you are all well.  Life is beginning to get back to a new normality and Pat and I have managed a few trips to the pub and even had a meal out.

We had a full Zoom Club meeting on 22 July with 20 Members joining in.  It went very well and Secretary Brian did prepare some Minutes which will be published circulated soon.

The main thing we decided was to have our first meeting on Wednesday 5 August.  To allow social distancing this will be an outside meeting starting at 12.30 pm. Mac has arranged with his local for us to have exclusive use of the large pub garden. The Pub is the Colvile Arms, Main St, Lullington, DE12 8EG. It is about 15 minutes from Lichfield. Full details have been sent to members by email. Please “Reply” if you intend to go.

We have approached the Golf Club about their plans for future meetings inside, but they will not be considering any inside gatherings until their Clubhouse is finished in September.

We will have another Club Zoom meeting at 19.30 pm on our regular Club night which is August 19.  David Cole will set it up and Terry will Chair it as I will be on holiday – please join us.

Best wishes to you all and stay safe.
