Hello everyone

This is just to remind you of my Chairman’s Drinks Event which will be held on :

Sunday 24th  March  12:30pm – 15:30pm  at Boley Park Community Hall , 7 Ryknild Street Lichfield WS14 9XU.

I  am really looking forward to meeting up with you and your partner for a chat over drinks and something to eat.  So, if you haven’t already done so,  please put the date , location and times in your diaries.

In order that I can obtain an idea of numbers,  it would be really helpful if you could send me an email or a text confirming that you will be attending on the 24th and any dietary requirements by Friday 8th March.

Looking forward to seeing you there!!

Should any of you need further background information following Simon Trevelyan’s talk on atomic bombs, Vice Chair Roger is pleased to offer, on loan, specimens from his extensive collection of warfare manuals:

And whilst we are on the subject, cast your minds back to 1980, when Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark released “Enola Gay“, a haunting reminder of the first wartime atomic bomb drop.

(There were many anti-war songs back then: 99 Red Balloons by Nena and Two Tribes by Frankie goes to Hollywood, to name but a couple.)
