Remembrance Lunch – Alrewas Village Hall 1pm 12th Nov

November 12th is the date of the 41 Club Remembrance Lunch at which we host National Officials and other local “Family” clubs.

A flyer is attached with detail. – click here to download it. You will see that we have been able to hold the ticket price at £22.50 pp but the increase in wine duty means that wine “bucket” is not bottomless so “extras” will be available at just above cost.

Most important though is that Lichfield 41 Members and Lichfield Tangent members have priority for bookings (up to 2 places) until midnight on Sunday 1st October. After that places cannot be guaranteed as the event is being opened to clubs nationally.

So please book NOW with your requests to 41remembrance@btinternet.com. Please do NOT PAY at this time. Request for payment which will be exclusively online will be made nearer the date.

Many thanks

Mac Cummings

Hubberholme 2023

The theme was Beach. Very appropriate for a pub in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales. Whilst we wait for what will, no doubt, be a heavily redacted account of what happened, here are some teasers.

Looks innocent enough, doesn’t it?

No locals (they ran screaming)

Just four chaps, having a quiet drink in a rural bar

…and who can blame them.

Barbie meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Wait till you see what the photographer was wearing – keep following this breaking news item.

Children’s Wish – update from Terry Browne

You may remember that we raised money for this charity on my President’ s Night as it was Jim’s chosen one for his year.  Charity Manager Mike Turner should have spoken at our last meeting but was not able to attend due to an injury he sustained. Pete Chapman will be trying to arrange a new date over the coming weeks.

In the meantime, Mike has sent us this message:

Hi Terry,

Hope you are well.

Having supported Round Table Children’s Wish in the past, I thought you would be interested in hearing about the wishes we have granted during the summer of 2023.

I have attached for your perusal information on our most recent granted wishes: click here to read it.

On behalf of Round Table Children’s Wish I would like to thank you for the support you have given the charity and look forward to hearing from you in the future. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Mike Turner, Charity Manager, Round Table Children’s Wish

Six Club Quiz Night – Change of date

We’ve had an update from Viv Wyss about this event: due to a date clash with other clubs, this event has now been re-scheduled to Saturday 3rd February 2024. Gives us more time to put together teams and support it, so please change the date in your diaries, or put it in if you haven’t already.

More details will follow in a couple of weeks.

Many thanks from Viv Wyss, Secretary, Lichfield Ladies Tangles

Music in the Marquee – 13th October
