Fireworks 5th November – Can you help at Billesley Common, B13 0HN?

Our Chairman and President are volunteering to help at this event. if you can join them, please contact Terry Webb ASAP. Details below.

The 41 Club Garden is looking quite mature now, as you can see from the pictures below. The NMA are poised to give the trees a trim, the paths a weed and the obelisk a steam clean in readiness for Remembrance Sunday. If you do go to the Service you may spot that one of the trees has succumbed to the elements, but it will be replaced soon.
All monies owing by National for the recent renovations and ongoing maintenance have now been paid.

The Great War – Shot at Dawn

Between 1914 and 1920, more than 3,000 British soldiers were sentenced to death by courts martial for desertion, cowardice, striking an officer, disobedience, falling asleep on duty or casting away arms.

NMA visit on the 26th October. Unfortunately this event has had to be cancelled on this date. It is hoped to re-arrange the event in the spring.

In the meantime your S&E Team are busy with prparation for our NMA lunch on the 13th November. Book in with Mac to avoid disappointment.

The next event will be the popular Winter BBQ at Rob Horton’s on Wednesday the 23rd November, detail to follow.
